The research goal is to assess the effect of early life stress on fry growth in the greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili). Hereby, ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) glucocorticoid profiling in whole body of a single larva will be used to give a detailed view on the hypothalamic-pituitary-interrenal (HPI) axis (re)activity. In all, the goal is to optimize aquaculture systems for larvae hereby contributing to a more sustainable aquaculture.
