StressChron Framework:

Project code 160
Role Coordinator
Research area Contributing to a more sustainable and animal welfare minded food production
Research topic Improving the understanding of the impact of anthropogenic activities on wildlife
Vertebrate Amphibia
Species Alpine newt (Ichthyosaura alpestris), fire salamander (Salamandra Salamandra)

This study investigates chronic stress in amphibia by quantification of corticosterone and other glucocorticoids using UPLC-MS/MS in alpine newt (Ichthyosaura alpestris) and fire salamander (Salamandra Salamandra). The results will serve in a larger framework in which the interplay between glucocorticoids and fungi in both species is studied.
